When you enter the PayPal payment page, you will see the word donation several times on the page.  Rest assured you are at the right place to pay your tithes and give offerings.  Do not be alarmed by the word "donation" throughout the page.  It is merely generic verbiage chosen by PayPal and can not be changed.

As you complete the process you will have the opportunity to note if your donation is a tithe, offering, or specify a department that the donation should go towards. Any donations received by The Oasis Christian Fellowship that are not specifically marked will be recorded by the church as a tithe to your records.

Tithe & Offering FAQ

  • What is PayPal and how is The Oasis Christian Fellowship using it to enable online tithes, offerings, donations or event payments? +

    PayPal allows us to collect tithes and offerings from a click of a button on our website or an email link.  It is a low cost way for us to make it convenient for you to give or perhaps pay for a church event.

  • Why did The Oasis Christian Fellowship choose Paypal? +

    It is the most widely used online payment provider available.  Our experience has given us confidence in its reliability.  Also, it is inexpensive.

  • Do I have to have a PayPal account to give tithes, offerings or donations? +

    No.  Look for the button that allows you to choose between your debit card or major credit card (Visa, MasterCard or Discover).  You are able to use your debit or credit card without ever signing up for PayPal.

  • Are you encouraging people to borrowing to support the church? +

    No.  Like most other churches, we are simply making it convenient for people who prefer to pay their tithes, give offerings, pay for events or donate online to be able to do so.  We are not asking people to incur debt in any way.

  • Do I have to be a member of The Oasis Christian Fellowship to give tithes, offerings or donations? +

    No.  We are grateful for support from anyone who is motivated to give to help the ministry of The Oasis Christian Fellowship.  PayPal does ask for your contact information.  In this regard you may not make anonymous donations.  However, you can make anonymous donations through our tithe box in our sanctuary or main lobby.

  • How do I make sure my tithe, offering or donation is credited to the correct category? +

    You can select from a drop down box that distinguishes between tithes, offerings and church events, etc.  There is also a place for notations in the Feedback/Comments section as well.

  • Is my tithe tax-deductible? +

    Yes.  All free-will offerings are tax-deductible.  Payments for events or payments for books, etc., are not legally allowed to be deducted.  You will find your giving categorized on your annual giving statement you receive in January of each year.

  • I cannot figure out how to use PayPal. Can you help? +

    If you have questions or need assistance, please call the church office at 585-670-6244.  Our office hours are 9am to 5pm Tuesday through Friday.  We will do our best to assist you!
